This jazz classic is a sweet love song of dedication between a couple. Their love is not something affected by temporal changes. Rather, their love transcends inventions, culture, and even geological features. It reminds me a verse:
"Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away." (Matthew 24:35 TLV)
In this part, Yeshua is reassuring His listeners that the messianic prophecies will be fulfilled in their day. He goes a step further, saying that G-d's promises will outlive any feature on earth. They'll outlive the heavens themselves.
We can drawn the same comfort from a union of a dedicated couple as we do from Yeshua's words. A deep and abiding love ensures a committed relationship. G-d feels the same for us and holds His words to the same standard. No matter what happens on this earth or in the heavens above, His words, promises, prophecies, and comforts will stay true and be fulfilled.
